Pick up and knit

There are several ways to pick up and knit stitches. They are usually worked with the right side facing. Try each way and do the one that works best for you.

Method 1 uses one needle.

Put right needle into edge of knitting, wrap yarn around needle, and pull through. The motion is like knitting and taking a stitch off of left needle.

Method 2 uses two needles.

Put left needle into edge of knitting. Put right needle through knitting in same place as left needle, wrap yarn and pull through.

Method 3 uses a crochet hook and one needle.

Put crochet hook into edge of knitting, wrap yarn around hook and pull through. Put the stitch on the right needle.
